General noise analyzer equipped with non-smart noise source can not compensate the measurement results timely when the ambient temperature changes. The noise figure measurement principles and various impact factors on its measurement uncertainty are briefly described. Based on the Y-factor noise figure measurement principle, the correction method to measurement results when ambient temperature changes is demonstrated in detail. The noise figure measurement accuracy can be improved especially for low-noise device by this compensation method. The theoretical derivation of the temperature correction curve is verified through the experimental data.
